I’m keen on painting
Hobbies differ like tastes. There are more than 1000 personal interests and ways to spend one’s free time. I’m lucky I’ve already chosen a hobby according to my character and taste. I’m keen on painting.
I’ve been painting since 5, when people started saying there was something specific about my drawings. My parents encouraged me to do painting. I’ve been attending art school already for 10 years. I’m for classical art. It’s perfectly great. I believe that such great painters as Shishkin and Levitan make us think a great deal than different objects in some modern pictures of abstract art. There is nothing than landscapes to me. But it doesn’t mean that I paint only landscapes. There are portraits, still life and other genres too. So it’s not easy to select genre of my paintings. There are also works appealing to the burning problems of our time. Recently I’ve taken part in the art competition devoted to the 70-th anniversary of Stalingrad battle and won the first prize. Now I’ m preparing for the  contest, devoted to the Cosmonautics Day.
Though some of my classmates find my hobby monotonous and tiring, I enjoy it very much. It’s stimulating, it makes me feel more active finding new facts about different artists and epochs. I’m hard-working and patient enough to do it. Creativity and imagination are important too. So my hobby enriches my soul, appeals to my heart, mind and feelings. It increases my knowledge in history, literature and broaden my outlook.
By the way, do you know that two of the most hobby painters were Winston Churchill and Eisenhower? Painting is a hobby for Vladimir Vasilyev, the previous ballet dancer well known all over the world and for the cosmonaut Alexey Leonov, as well. And who knows, probably in the future I’ll become a famous politician or a ballet dancer or a cosmonaut? But I know it definitely well that whoever I am, I’ll be a harmonious developed person thanks to my hobby!
