Figure Skating is my life.

          My name is Nikita Vahrushev. I am a student of the 5^th form. I study in a wonderful school number 86 in Volgograd. I like to study very much. But the aim of my life is figure skating.

          I began to go in for figure skating when I was 5 years old. My first competitions were in my native city,Volgograd. Figure skating is a very beautiful but hard sport . I try to jump triple jumps, complex tracks.

          The last few years I travelled through different cities of Russia.

          I visited such cities as Saratov (The Open Championship of Saratov region on figure skating), Moscow (Championship in 2009 where I took the 2^nd place, and «Prizes of Father Frost» in CSKA in 2009 where I took the 1^st place). In Yaroslavl in the competition «Ice Symphony» ( 2012) I won the 1^st place . In Zelenograd — «Winged hope — 2012» — the 1^st place. I also took part in different competitions in Nebug, Saransk, Krasnodar, Rostov, Belgorod. I have recently been in Belgorod on competitions «Cup of A. Mishin». The competition was very memorable, beacause there was A. Mishin himself. My most important medal is the 2^nd place at the S.A. Zhuk Memorial. And I’m proud of it.

          Figure skating is interesting for me, because I got acquainted with different people from other cities, such as outstanding athletes Rodnina, Lobacheva.

          I have been going in for figure skating for 5 years and it is really interesting for me, though I must work very hard. It is difficult not only physically. It is also difficult to compete with the guys from Moscow and St. Petersburg, as their sport schools are developed better. But I am not going to give up my favourite hobby. It helps me to overcome difficulties and feel confidence.

          Figure skating isn't just my hobby.... IT'S MY LIFE!
