I’m the first year student of Volgograd State Social Pedagogical University, the Institute of Art Education. Me and my group mates are future artists. As you may have guessed, this creative profession always requires a non-standard approach and creativity. Sometimes it can be quite difficult, because drawing, although it may seem easy, requires great effort and patience, but is very interesting and exciting,
Undoubtedly, the profession of the artist involves not only knowledge of its profile, though it’s very important, but also knowledge of different educational points. For example, the English language at first glance isn’t connected with our profession. But this is absolutely wrong. And we’re going to show you the importance of speaking English fluently for us.
Firstly, it’s an opportunity to travel having no discomfort or even trouble. Any trip can help you to expand your horizons, so it`s valuable for any artist, as well as for people of other professions. Also, any journey is a huge source of inspiration and bright, memorable emotions! This is best promotes to do professional activities.
Secondly, with the knowledge of English we can be trained abroad on the higher level than at home, because teaching overseas is quite different from the Russian one and it will help to grow professionally.
Thirdly, the study of other cultures is also very exciting and useful for artists. We can learn a huge amount of great ideas from the cultural heritage of people from Asia, Europe, North and South America.
These thoughts of us were pushed with one of our lessons of English devoted to the topic “Travelling”. We’ve always liked to learn as much as possible about the countries, tell each other about places we have visited, share the impression and emotions of travelling. But that's what has helped us to turn our hobby into something more - in a kind of hobby of our group. And the name of it’s EXPLORING THE WORLD! Perhaps it will stay just a dream, but we have quite ambitious plans in this regard and we do think over the possibilities and chances of such an idea. A dream becomes a goal when action is taken toward its achievement.
Undoubtedly, we’re certainly interested in nature of the countries we are going to visit. The endless ocean coasts of North America, the mountain tops of Norway, the valleys of England, the lakes of Canada, the jungles of India- these picturesque landscapes are much far beyond our wildest dreams! Plein air in such places - a great dream of any artist or person belonging to a creative profession!
Most of my group mates have chosen the country to visit according to their preferences. We’ve a fairly substantial list of places we want to visit and some information about them. And you can see our great plans in reality through the video we have prepared.
In conclusion I’d like to say that the most important thing is to believe in your dreams as they become true! And if your friends support you, anything will become just a piece of cake!
