My hobby is my way to self-education

My name is Julia. I am a pupil of the seventh form. I am very fond of my studying but it is nice to have a change and to rest.
Hobbies differ like tastes.

My hobbies are closely connected with art. All my free time I devote to handmade things. I enjoy drawing, making flowers from bright ribbons. Some of my pictures won high prices in different art contests.

A doll is a fine addition to any young girl’s toy chest so my latest hobby is sewing dolls. Homemade toys are fun to create, bring much pleasure to me and my friends. Besides, making dolls develops imagination, helps to express feelings. To find information about different kinds of dolls, the instructions how to collect the details, I had to read English magazines “Soft dolls”, “Country dolls”.

My favorite doll is Victoria,  this  is a symbol of Victorian age. She is as beautiful as the queen was. Flowers on her head are the symbols of prosperity of Britain. Precious pearls on her neck and hand symbolize the population increase in the country. Doll’s beautiful golden dress shows us the wealth and fortune of Britain.

I hope that someday I will make dresses for real people, not only for dolls. I dream about the profession of an artist or a designer. My hobby helps me to improve my knowledge and skills.
